You ask for it and we heard!

We at mountaincrafted.com have just placed on the site our aromatherapy goat's milk soap category line.

that's correct, you heard right, you can now enjoy our top of the line premium large 5 ounce bars of Aromatherapy Goat's Milk Soap formulated with therapeutic grade essential oils!

Goat Milk is stated to be high in protein and triglyceride content making it an excellent natural moisturizer. It contains vitamin A, B6, B12 and E as well as beta-casein which all help with to hydrate and nourish dry skin.

Most companies will not give their soap ingredients because the FDA says that as long as you are not claiming that your soap is anything other than soap then the ingredients list doesn't have to be provided.

We at Mountain Crafted will always display our product ingredients right out in the open for the World to see! Why you ask do we do this? Because we care about you and we feel that you deserve to know what you are about to apply to yourself.
Well neighbor, I look at it like this, my skin is the largest organ and body surface I have, and this skin of mine has what are called pores which just love to soak in whatever is applied to them. Ask yourself; does the ingredients in soap matter to you? Go even a step more, how about shampoos, hair conditioners, shower gels, body creams, lotions and ETC? These days it seems that everyone focus is on what products do we put inside our bodies, but somehow the external shell of our beings got lost in the shuffle!

We at Mountain Crafted declared at the beginning of the concept of this company that we were going to offer alternatives to bath and body products and even my candles. Did you know that there are very nasty chemicals that are placed in some candle fragrances that are harmful to you? Well that chemical is placed in the fragrance to make it throw its fragrance outward and fill a room. Sounds nice don’t it? Sure it does, but there's only one little problem, this chemical named Dibutyl Phthalate and Nitro Musk are no ingredients I would allow again my beloved dog Boo Boo to smell! I won't go into what these little nasties will do, but I guarantee you that they will not be in my bath & body products or my candles!

But you will find some companies providing these chemicals because of how strong it will make their candles throw outward their fragrance. But at the same time they know what this chemical can do to the human body! There is no excuse for them in doing this, they know up front what they have because the fragrance suppliers tell us up front if this fragrance carries these chemicals or not. That’s why you may have noticed on our site that there are a few well known fragrance names I do not carry and will not until the little nasties are removed from the fragrance oils.

It's this way, if I personally don't want the product on nor around me, then neither will I supply to you regardless of the profit that could be made. I just can't understand how other companies can openly do that with a clear conscience.

Please for your own sake, speak up and ask questions when purchasing products. Either call the company on the phone or via e-Mail for the list of the ingredients of the product you want to purchase. If they Hem-Haw around and will not tell you what is in their product, or they tell you something like "Well we can't give out that sort of information, this products ingredients are proprietary!" Don’t walk away, run!

(YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW WHAT INGREDIENTS YOU ARE PLACING ON YOUR AND YOUR LOVE ONE'S BODY. SO DEMAND THE INFORMATION!)

Homemade Laundry Soap

Would you like to save tons of money? Follow this recipe and you will!
www.MountainCrafted.com

First, we use any family commercial bar soap in our homemade liquid laundry soap.
I would love to say use a bar of our unscented goat's milk soap, but our soap doesn't have the detergent ingredients that the commercial brands have. Our soap is for personal body use.

We bought a large automobile funnel for changing engine oil. Any auto parts store or even the large chain stores have them. Reason for this funnel is, the funnel has a large throat and will allow our gelled homemade laundry soap to pass through the funnel into the container we keep it in without problems.

Recipe cost: approximately $2.00 per 5 gallon concentrate. Which ends up being 10 gallons of liquid laundry soap.

Homemade liquid laundry soap
Ingredients:
1 five gallon bucket with lid
1 long handled plastic stirring spoon
1 large automobile engine oil funnel
1 bar family size commercial bath soap
1 cup Arm & Hammer Washing Soda
1 cup Borax
Optional 1 ounce fragrance your choice

Directions:
Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with 4 cups of hot tap water. Stir continually over medium-low heat until soap dissolves and is melted.
Fill a five-gallon bucket half full of hot tap water. Add melted soap, 1 cup of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda and 1 cup of Borax. Stir well until all powder is dissolved. (If you use fragrance add it now.) Fill the bucket to top with more hot water. Stir, cover and let sit overnight to thicken to a gel.

The next day stir the 5 gallon bucket and fill a used empty commercial liquid laundry soap container half full with your home made soap and then fill the rest of the plastic jug with hot tap water. Here is where you will use the large automobile funnel. Shake your homemade washing soap before each use. (It will gel.)

Using the plastic jug cap that comes with the commercial brand liquid laundry soap container use only one cap full per load.

We keep a plastic cup in the 5 gallon bucket to use when time to refill the used plastic jug. Letting it float around inside the 5 gallon bucket is fine and we don’t have to search and try to find one when we need it!

Optional:
You can e-mail us and we sale fragrances that work well in this soap such as fresh linen, herbal, jasmine, lavender and the list goes on. You can enter into our shower gel category and see the listings for all the skin safe fragrances. We also sale and use ourselves essential oils such as Lavender and tea Tree. The choices are almost unlimited.

The end results are 5 gallons of soap that is concentrated and will end up making 10 gallons for only $2.00. We like it because it really cleans our clothes and leaves them fresh smelling, even without using a fragrance.

Note: If you find this too harsh for your skin, then cup back to ½ cup of the Washing Soda and borax.
Also do not panic if your soap doesn’t gel. The gel effect depends on things like temperature, & the type of fragrance you use. Rest assured if your soap does not gel, it will still clean and refresh your clothes just like the gel laundry soap does.
