First off they raised their shipping prices to almost double. They no longer carry the regional rate box C and have taken both regional rate boxes A and B from their web site. The regional rate boxes A and B were in most cases our main shipping containers. We now must use the flat rate boxes for all of our shipping needs.
You may be asking how this affects me. This change that USPS made has skyrocketed the cost of shipping not only for Mountain crafted, but for all company's and domestic shipping.
Here is the way we at Mountain Crafted have had to set up our shipping:
Up to 4 pounds of weight in products the box we use is a medium flat rate which cost $13.45 anywhere within the United States. That means 1 single bar of soap or bottle of shampoo ETC up to 4 pounds will cost the $13.45 price.
From 4.01 pounds up to 7 pounds we have to move to the large flat rate box which is $18.75 anywhere within the United States.
Here is the price of shipping as the weight it increases:
up to 4 pounds $13.45
4.01 to 7 pounds $18.75
7.01 up to 11 pounds $32.20
11.01 up to 15 pounds $37.50
15.01 up to 21 pounds $56.25
Believe this, Debra and I don't like this anymore than you do. We know that many are not going to be able to afford this increase. If it was our ability to change this we would. But our hands are tied. Last, we promise that we will continue to search for more affordable shipping options.
